February Update

Well, sometimes time goes by so fast that I forget about this page. Either that or I just don't have time now that I have 3 kids. Anyway, here I am again with an update on everybody.

Cole is almost 4 months old (will be next week) and is comming so far. He sleeps all night and is such a happy baby. He hold his head up to watch his sisters when he's on his tummy. Tummy time is dangerous around here with Sarah Grace around. He's gaining weight really well, so we're very proud of him.

Sarah Grace is 16 months old now. My how she is growing! She can climb up on the couch or loveseat by herself, so nothing is safe now. She's been into everything lately too! She's always a happy girl, so I guess we don't mind the mischief every once in a while.

Elizabeth is 3 1/2 now. Her blonde curly hair is getting so long! She's doing very well in preschool. One of her teachers told me that she spelled her name out with letters from a puzzle. That's an awfully long name for a 3 year old to spell. She's a very smart girl.

I am going to water aerobics at least twice a week. I need to do more, but when the kids are sick I have to stay home. I am considering going back to work in the fall if I can find someone to watch the babies. I am not even going to entertain the thought of day care unless I absolutely have to.

Jonathan just finished up basketball. He had a losing season, but he had 4 eighth graders on the bench that had never played before. We have high hopes for next year after a little work this summer.

So that's it for us. We've had several little bugs shared between the 5 of us since the weather won't make up it's mind, but all is well with the Shedds.

A busy day with the Shedds

The Shedds have had an exciting day so far and it’s only 3:00. We took Elizabeth to preschool this morning and got her midterm progress report and it looks like she’s doing really well. It said she only needed to work on a few things like following directions (imagine that one of my kids having trouble with following directions), using scissor, manipulating and snaps, and galloping. She had good marks on everything else, so she seems to be doing well.
The two little ones had well baby check ups today. Cole weighed 13 lbs and 11 oz which we are very proud of since he lost so much weight when he was sick and he is 24 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile for his height and his weight. According to the developmental milestones that were on the sheet the doctor gave us he’s ahead of the game.
Sarah weighed 26.8 lbs and is 31.5 inches tall. She is in the 95th percentile for her weight and the 90th percentile for her height. She too seems to be ahead of the game for her developmental milestone. They both had shots too.
We also have some visitors for a night or two Grandma Sue and Grandpa Ed came down to see us.
It’s been a very exciting day at the Shedd house.
